Body image and stress
Everybody goes through phases when they feel they are too fat or too thin or they have some undesirable physical quality. These negative thoughts are further enforced by negative comments from people around us.
We are told that only a particular size and shape of body is accepted as attractive.
This leads to undue stress.
How to face this?
First and foremost, accept yourself. Eat healthy to maintain your health. Do not focus on gaining or losing weight. Avoid people who pass negative comments on your body. Surround yourself with friends who value you for your qualities. Do not bother to ask your family or friends whether you look good or not. You are what you are. You are different everyday. You are special in your own way. There are people who cherish you, for who you are.
